Shaheen Sports Club has been granted funding from the Sir David Trench Fund for Recreation (Main Fund) for 2017-18 to support its installation of artificial turf on cemented hockey ground in Shaheen Hockey Academy under Capital Works Project.

Shawnee Boys training in Malaysia

Three of our players - Ken, Chris & Windfall, will be leaving Hong Kong on Thursday (30th July) to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to train with Kuala Lumpur Hockey Club for 3 weeks. On behalf of Shaheen Hockey, we appreciated Mr. George Koshy (owner of KLHC) for his generous support to us in allowing our boys to join his team training and watch the National League games. This is one our our best support from Mr. Koshy for us as well as our boys. Also thanks to Coach Dharma Raj for his kind arrangement in the coming weeks for the boys. We wish every success to our boys in their hockey career!

Shaheen Mini Hockey Parents Orientation host on Valentines Day 2015 and has over 20 parents attended. They joint by their children later. Very positive feedback to Shaheen and acknowledgement to our coaches who take care of their children over the years. Various points were noted, it also help us to move us to another level. Thanks again all parents in allowing their children to join Shaheen and all coaches for their contributions as well.

The 6th Shaheen mini hockey tournament had come to an end on the 31st Jan 2015 with the help and active participation of all the VIPS, officials, umpires, sponsors,
coaches, parents and most importantly all the little supermans who played so hard on the day. Hope everyone enjoyed the food, games, balloons and how umpires and officials dressed on the day. We hope we brought you an extraordinary experience that you never had in a tournament. It is more than a tournament, but a carnival.
And congratulations to Tang Hei Nok Darin for being the player of the tournament (U8).

mini hockey as we want kids to enjoy hockey more. Under 6 training is already launched on our Saturday weekly trainings which

Our Hockey Head Coach Arif Ali received his Community Coach Recognition Award 2012 today. He missed the official presentation last Sunday due to his wife gave birth to their little boy Atif. Congrats again to Arif for his contribution to hockey both Shaheen and community.

| Shaheen Ladies B team claimed doubles! |
Shaheen Ladies B team won the Division 4 7-A-Side Tournament on 6th April 2013 by beating Recreio C 1-0 in the final. Earlier they won the Division 4 Champions and winning the tournament, they became the only team won doubles in Shaheen so far. Well Done Girls!

| Shaheen's Youth Keep Trophy! |
Shaheen Youth Team won the 1st Shaheen Hockey Invitation Tournament 2013 Cup by beating Elite Men's team in the final on Penalty Shoot Out 3-2 after 1-1 draw in the playing time on 31st March 2013. A total of 6 Men's and 6 Ladies team participated in this tournament. This year the tournament was named as 'Murad Ali Khan and Hanife Din Memorial Cup' in remembrance our two great friends.

| Men's A Runners-up of Premier Challenge Cup! |
Shaheen Men's A team becoming Runners-up of the Premier League Challenge Cup afte losing to SSSC A in the penalty shoot out in the final. All 10 teams of the Premire League participated this new season warm-up one day tournament. We used 5 under 21 players in allowing them to gain experience in the coming hockey season which will commence next Sunday. Well done boys and good luck for 2012-13 season!.

| Men's B Team Shine The Start! ! |
On 2nd September 2012, Shaheen, Men's B team won the CDR Centenary Cup by beating home side Recreio A 2-0 to claim the first silverware of 2012-13 hockey season for the club. Both goals came in the second half from the sticks of William and Hamza. A good start for them and keep it going!

Shaheen Youth, Development and Ladies teams (3 teams) traveled to Bangkok, Thailand between 7th-12th August 2012 for some test match before the season start in September. Youth team will play against Sai Hai Wimolwitthayanukul School of Saraburi, Thailand. While both Development and Ladies teams will play against Thailand U21 National Team respectively. Shaheen Sports Club 30th Annual Dinner & Awards Presentation will be held on 8th September 2012 (Saturday) at The Ballroom B & C of Sheraton Hotel & Towers, Tsimshatsui, Kowloon. Program including award presentation (both internal and external), entertainment, lucky draw, buffet style dinner, drinks etc. The cost is $200 per head and this year our dress code is 'Formal'. Men's B Team 2nd Division Champions!
|
On 11th March 2012, Shaheen Men's B team claimed 2nd Champions after a goalless draw with 144 United A. Shaheen B was formed in 2003-4 hockey season playing in 5th Division. Their result over the past years were Championship of 5th Division on 2003-04, 4th Division Champion on 2004-05 and HKHA Plate Champion on 2003-4 Season. This is the 4th championship for the boys. Well done boys and keep it going!

Fund Raising Committee Formed
|
Shaheen formed a new Fund Raising Committee to raise fund for the new club house in Woo Sung Street. The committee chaired by CEO/Founder of GIFT (our club title sponsors) Mr. Chandran Nair (pictured), other committee including Nawab Ali Khan (President of Shaheen), Shaukat Hussain Khan (ex-President of Shaheen), Zamir Begum Khan (Vice President of Shaheen), Ahmed Khan (Sponsors and Event Director), Allah Detta Dad, Sharif Khan, Asghar Ali and Alfonso Codero. Shaheen welcome any contributions on this project.

Development Squad Trip to Macau.
|
Immediately after the season end, a development team went to Macau and played 2 test matches with a top Macau hockey team. The average age of the squad was 21 and a local news paper also made report on our trip.

Shaheen's Site Design Approved!
|
Site design approved by the committee and hopefully it will be completed in 4 months time. There will be male and female changing rooms, disable toilet, storage room on the ground level. While on the upper level, we will have our new office, gym, video/meeting room and a multi-functional room. On the roof, will be a green roof garden or setting area. Of course, we will also have a small pitch for skills, drills and fitness training. This pitch could turn into an open area for events, gathering and even a cinema for watching games.

The 2nd Shaheen Mini Hockey Tournament will take place on 2nd April 2011 (Saturday) at King's Park Hockey Ground from 9am - 1.30pm. We received very good response from other Mini Hockey Club/Teams and we are looking forward for another great tournament for the kids. Do come down and support!!
